Decosta was born in Hackney, the east end of London. He was the oldest of 4 children and the only son. His father was an auto mechanic who owned his own business, his mother was a teacher at the local primary school.
He had an average childhood, spent on the streets of London like any other kid that grew up in the area. He spent enough time there to know how to survive but not enough to get into trouble. He feared his parents too much to allow that to happen.
Schooling was pretty much the same, he liked learning new languages and anything that involved mixing with different people. He didn't feel like he could handle university and after watching a parade on V-day he went to the sign up office and joined up as a solider.
So at the age of sixteen, he went to AFC Harrogate and joined up with the Army college. It was here that he grew to love the army life. It was here that he was molded into a future solider, he had intense fitness training, he learnt the discipline he needed to be a solider. He also drilled in numerous battle drills where he learnt how to deploy combat first aid and he developed the tactical knowledge that he would need.
After his initial training, he went on to train at the Infantry Battle School that was located in the Brecon beacons. This was Decosta's calling where he went up the ranks. During this time, he was deployed to numerous theatres where he specialised in Intelligence.
He decided that he wanted to be with the best so he signed up to undergo the gruelling test that the SAS demanded. He underwent the hikes and the jungle training but he flunked out during the stress tests where he failed to stick to the Name, Rank and Number protocol that it demanded. Decosta was more determined to join so he went back and trained as hard as he could. It was on his third attempt that he managed to pass the SAS test and he started life as a SAS operative. Over the years, he stayed and learnt techniques in Close Quarter Combat, surveillance, recon photography and advanced driving.
Over the years he went on numerous tours including the Gulf, Basra, Iran where he specilised as a security specialist where he would go in and scope out the area and determine what security was present and the best way to neutralise the threats.
During the last 5 years of his deployments, he was assigned the role of Close protection for various VIPs and royals. This was acceptable for Decosta as he was coming towards the end of his career within the army and needed a good skill to transfer to the civilian world.
He needed to get away from the life within England and decided to go somewhere different and relax, have time for himself. He was now 32 and needed time to himself. Grabbing his few possessions, he went on a tour visiting the various countries, living life as simply as he could. He soon found himself in Las Vegas. He was running out of money so he decided to use his SAS skills and got himself a job protecting a local politican for several months.
He was so at home doing the jobs that he decided to stay and establish himself,he is now seeking employment for anyone that wants his skills.
- Close Quarter Combat: Decosta has been trained to fight in crowds of people including the use of firearms in close quarters, often in tight spaces surrounded by colleagues and innocent bystanders. He can pick out and safely engage a hostile in such scenarios. All these techniques center around shielding the VIP, keeping them out of the line of fire and moving them to a safe location.
- Offensive driving: In the event of an attack Decosta can use the car as a weapon, ramming attacking vehicles or assailants and punching a hole through a barricade. He is skilled at driving at high speeds.
- Surveillance: Decosta has learnt how to plant electronic eavesdropping devices (bugs) and covert video cameras. He has also practiced planting tracking devices on cars, in weapon caches and even on people. Breaking into houses and businesses and planting bugs and gathering intelligence without being detected was also taught, as were the arts of lock-picking and key-copying.
- Photography: Decosta was taught the basics then moved onto advanced nighttime Infra-red photography. He also learnt how to conceal still and video cameras in his clothing and in cars.%rWeapons: Although he is skilled with knives and other weapons, his go to weapons are Browning High Powers, HK3s and Remington 870 Shotguns.
Decosta has the power of biological detection. He's like a human radar, the limit is 15 feet although if he is submerged in water, then it is increased to 20 feet. His ability is not like Daredevil who can paint the room with his ability (as per the films). Decosta's is more like he's in a dark room and he can see the ghost image of where people are (but he'll still bump into that chair if he was blindfolded). It can bypass objects like wardrobes (so he knows where you are hiding).
The ability is perpetuity, although the thicker the walls, the harder it is to get a nice crisp image. If a person was to stand outside a bank vault, then Decosta would not be able to sense anything as the walls would be too thick. When he is sleeping, it is reduced to a local area around Decosta. It has a AOE of about 2 foot. He's used to it as it sort of invades his dreams. If he is very tired it does give him splitting headaches
- Kandy (Real Name: Maria Cruz): Age 28, Has a build of a woman that keeps herself in extremely good shape, very little body fat, likes to wear combat trousers and crop tops, Brazilian, blue eyes, black hair. Owns a small gym where she trains in various arts such as Boxing, Judo, Eskrima, Krav Maga and Capoeira. This is Decosta's training coach/partner.
- Jeanne Sidmore: Age: 36, Description: Long Red Hair, Hazel eyes, Has a chubby build (Size 16), likes to wear nice dress suits but prefers dresses when not at work. - Long term friend of Decosta, they first met when he was in a cafe reading a newspaper to himself. She had to sit down at the only chair that was available in the place. A friendship was forged. She is the landlady that looks over the middle income apartment that Decosta resides at. Has had a fling with Decosta. He likes Jeanne.
- Mitch (Real Name: Steve Mitchell): Age 52 Blonde Hair with black highlights, wirey build, has one tattoo of a gothic dagger surrounded by ivy on his upper right arm. Owns the local auto mechanic store. He is very popular with street racers as he provides them with custom modifications. Maintains Decosta's cars ensuring that they are fit for his duties. He doesn't trust anyone else with the job.
- Bishop (Real Name: Clyde Jenkins): Age: 38 - Bouncer at the local club, stereotypical bouncer looking dude (think Michael Duncan Clarke). Keeps Decosta aware of any new gossip that hit the streets. Volunteers at the local church providing guidance to young children/adults. Also runs the food hall every Thursday evening. Encountered Decosta after he was brought in front of a lineup pertaining to a case that Decosta was investigating. Knows people that can get access to guns should Decosta need it.
- Tom Fallows: A fellow SAS team member that joined the same time as Decosta and has been his right hand man since the start. He's a bit of a loose cannon and had to be held in check by Decosta.
- Rebecca Peach: Girlfriend of Decosta for about 5-6 years while he was in the army. Loved him dearly but felt that Decosta was too much of a career solider and needed to find her own way in life.
- Jake Radcliffe: A famous action movie star that Decosta did a job for (bodyguarding), had to get rid of a hooker that Jack killed with a heroin overdose. Jake is afraid that this will get out as it could ruin his career. Jake is known for his clean and moral living.
