Bad things happen to good people every day. Sometimes these bad things are minor, such as a paper cut or a missed call, other times a stroke of bad luck can turn into a major, life altering event. How will it affect your life?

This mini-series will spotlight each character individually, and last anywhere from two to three weeks per character. To get involved in this, simply send an @mail to me, Trouble, and you'll be entered into the pool. Anyone can be part of this, there is no faction or gene status requirement. Players are also allowed and encouraged to be participants and witnesses to all events as they're being run for other players.

Hey! It's back!

Re: Server down by pipsqkspipsqks, 01 Nov 2012 20:05

Yay! Now go to sleep, it's stupid early XD

Re: Server down by pipsqkspipsqks, 01 Nov 2012 11:51

Server is down, Third Gen is aware of it and working to bring the hosting server back up. So bear with us guys. The upside - yes, there is on - is that since it's unexpected, and longer than 5 minutes, we'll be getting a free month out of this. Huzzah.

Server down by HumilityHumility, 01 Nov 2012 11:42

Hey guys~

I'm sure you all have noticed my absences lately and it looks like they're not going to get much better anytime soon. So, I'm setting down my wiz-bit, leaving the reins in Humility's hands.

I'll still be around to RP on Rylie here and there (and some light storytelling, possibly), but will not be acting in an official wiz capacity.

Note From Wrath by WrathnessWrathness, 04 Oct 2012 21:09

New plot is going to start up in two weeks. If you would like to volunteer for it, can RP at least once a week with the GM or with other participants in the plot, then @mail Humility in game. Deadline for volunteering is September 28th, plenty of time to volunteer! Potential for injury, but not death, everyone is welcome!

There's been a few hiccups, with regards to a second shell that has been set up on our hosting account and one hiccup has hit us re: domain names. As such, if you're trying to connect to the game via, you're gonna get denied. try 4400 or port 4400 It should be ironed out soon.

The game IS up and running. So if you have issues connecting (Seems to be only folks connecting through the domain name and not the server name) use the above addresses.

OOPS! Connecting to the game by HumilityHumility, 09 Sep 2012 19:09

It's the start of a weekend and Henderson, adjacent to Lake Mead, makes for a nice start to said weekend. But someone else has other plans in mind that may or may not disrupt the life of an individual out there.

ROOC: Scene is open to all, no potential for death, but mild to moderate violence and potential for injury. If you can think of why you are out by Lake Mead - come on, it's Lake Mead! - Then sign up,. First come first serve. Any questions, contact Humility.

While this plot is coming to an active close, it is by no means finished. Three separate portions of one drive were decrypted by a third party and produced lists of names, last known addresses, age, and whether they were confirmed, suspected or negative. Bailey, Raleigh and Zan all have 100 names of random people from around the world that are on this list. Other drives that were either sold or sat on, will be dealt with on an as is basis but effectively, this plot is closed.

What does this mean for the lists?

Congratulations, you have the keys to a "One Off Scene" Kingdom for the future. I expect those in possession of these lists will use them to RP with new and current players, and you can hit up the staff to help with the mystery that is the list. Who created it? What is it's purpose? Who knows.

If you have any further questions please contact Humility!

Today I'm clearing out idle bits. What this means is if you are not approved and haven't logged on for over a month, your bit will be @nuked. If there is significant work on the bit, I might leave it, but if I didn't, I am saving @decomplies. Of *significant* amounts of work.

For approved bits! Over a month idle, your bits will be sent to the freezer and marked idle on the wiki, if there is a wiki for them. You can reopen these by letting the staff know you're still interested in these characters.

Bits are never @nuked after approval.

Just giving a heads up that I'm going to be gone from August 8th through the 13th and likely not going to be around much during those times. I might pop on here and there, but it's a busy, convention vending time, so don't bet on it!

An enjoyable evening in Vegas for many, can change to something else entirely in the blink of an eye.

This event (Event 1) is for those who were notified by @mail and had volunteered earlier. Others can get involved in the plot after this event is run. Please pay attention to the +bb's and the forums for scheduling of wizzen run events during this plot, and to set up scenes with other players. if others not initially involved want to participate after the first scene, please speak up in the forum, and someone drop me an @mail so that I am kept apprised. Please post any logs concerning this plot arc with _Kafto in the tags.

If you cannot make the event, please drop me a line and let me know so we can work something out.

See you on the grid!

The following are the volunteers for the KA Plot:

What I need from you guys is your availability, for the next two weeks. So drop a line here, so I can arrange scenes. Once the initial scene is done, to set up the plot, you can pull anyone from the grid in if you like but please let me know who you did and please do not forget to put up logs so I can keep track of who is doing what/needs me.

It is up to you the player, to pay attention to this thread or to any BB's pertaining to this plot. If you are unable to make a scheduled scene, please send me an @mail and let me know!

Now everyone who went back to 1955, please pay attention to this:

it needs you!

Event Title: Tonight We're Gonna Party Like It's 1955
Organizer: Wrath
Time: 06:00pm (PST), Friday, August 03, 2012 (3d 19h 35m)
Location: The Moulin Rogue, Vegas
Restriction: Characters in 1955
Threat: Mild

Description: There's a party being thrown at The Moulin Rouge. Officially, it's set to be a business networking sort of event, but everyone knows that these things tend to stray from their appointed purpose. But with lots on the Strip coming up for sale soon, it's a prime time for mobst— I mean, business men to meet, greet and show off the girls on their arms. Plus, they say Frank Sinatra is set to perform, so. It's a good time for anyone.

(OOC Note: I'd like everyone who's back in the past to come to this one, but if you can't make it please contact me and I'll set up an alt-time for a second section of the party. Thanks!)

It was! I watched it last night. It's good for someone like me who didn't really know anything about the place beforehand.

Alright, for those going to 1955 (you know who you are. or will know soon)!

There is a portal to a short lived (but still standing to this day) casino/hotel called the Moulin Rouge in Vegas 1955 ( It pops out into a costume closet in the non-public areas of the building. This portal isn't always open, and in fact, most of the time it just looks like a crack in a wall, but it is open for several hours just in time for everyone to slip through before it closes again.

Which means that! If you're going, you're going to be there for a little while unless you decide to hop right back into the present and go home. Which is an option.

The portal is in the living room of an abandoned house on the outskirts of the Vegas suburbs. I'm sure Humility will add in whatever I've forgotten, but just remember it's 1955! And it's Vegas! We'll be doing plot things with you guys, but feel free to RP on your own as well, if you like. But any questions, throw them out!

(For those that have Netflix, there's a Vegas documentary that would help. Modern Marvels: Las Vegas. If you want to do the homework.)
